+ New for me (18/05/2010 - 17:31:58)
Well, I finally got around to starting a blog. I'm not sure how often I will update it or how interesting it will be but I will try. You won't find details of my breakfast or how many times I have blown my nose during the day I will just put some odd bits up in the vain hope that someone (other than my Mum) will read it.
Anyway, I recently started keeping a list of birds I have seen, twitchers call it a "life list" but I'm not into it that deeply, with the exception that, in a loose attempt to shake off the Anorak, I have to have photographed the bird as well . In the spirit of this new undertaking I went to th RSPB reserve at Titchwell Marsh on Sunday (16th) hoping to add to my meagre list. After listening to a rather rainy weather forcast I was confident that the day would be sunny and it turned out to be a great day out. If you haven't been to your local reserve then I highly recommend you go they are great places and the work they do is extremely important. Enough of the chatter, I added eight birds to my list including the Bittern, Sedge warbler and Hobby so I thought I'd pop a couple of the images up on here.
Sedge Warbler
Hobby
Bittern
Well there we go for the first attempt the images are not startling but I thought I would keep it simple for the first time.
